1800 QUOTES
Terms, Privacy & Consent
Last updated: May 3, 2026. Public liability cover is expected to commence on May 4, 2026.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use 1800 QUOTES, Quotes AI, our website, phone numbers, AI voice agents, chat, forms, supplier dashboard, customer quote pages, support tools, and related services.
By using the platform, submitting a request, confirming details, joining as a supplier, responding to a quote request, paying a platform fee, or continuing to communicate with us, you agree to these terms and our privacy and consent notices.
2. What 1800 QUOTES does
1800 QUOTES operates an AI-assisted managed quote platform. We help customers describe jobs, collect consent and job information, identify potentially suitable suppliers, request quotes, present supplier responses, and connect customers with selected suppliers.
We are not the supplier performing the work. Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, we do not provide the trade, removal, cleaning, repair, delivery, property, professional, or other underlying service requested by a customer.
3. Platform role only
1800 QUOTES is an intermediary platform. We are not an employer, employee, agent, partner, contractor, joint venturer, insurer, broker, or guarantor of any customer or supplier.
Any work agreed between a customer and a supplier is a separate arrangement between those parties. The supplier is responsible for performing the work and the customer is responsible for deciding whether to proceed with that supplier.
4. No guarantee
We do not guarantee that a customer will receive any quote, receive a particular number of quotes, receive the cheapest quote, proceed with a supplier, or obtain a particular outcome.
We do not guarantee a supplier will receive jobs, win work, be selected, be paid by a customer, or recover costs. We also do not guarantee supplier availability, workmanship, licence status, insurance status, quote accuracy, timing, price, access, safety, or customer conduct.
5. Customer responsibilities
Customers must provide accurate, current and complete job information, including location, timing, access, risks, site conditions, photos, attachments and changes in scope where relevant.
Before accepting a quote or allowing work to start, customers should check the supplier's identity, suitability, licence, insurance, safety practices, final scope, final price, timing, payment terms, cancellation terms, warranties and any legal or strata/body corporate requirements.
6. Supplier responsibilities
Suppliers must provide accurate business, contact, ABN/ACN, service, service-area, licence, insurance, pricing and availability information. Suppliers must keep this information up to date.
Suppliers are responsible for ensuring they are legally permitted, appropriately skilled, licensed where required, insured where appropriate, safe, solvent, tax-compliant, and able to perform any work they quote for or accept.
Suppliers must not mislead customers, inflate prices because a lead came through the platform, bypass safety or legal duties, harass customers, misuse customer information, or contact a person who has opted out or asked not to be contacted.
7. AI, calls and automated communications
We may use AI voice agents, automated calls, SMS, email, forms, data enrichment, scoring, ranking, moderation and other automated tools to operate the platform. AI outputs can be incomplete, delayed or wrong, so important details should be checked by the customer and supplier before proceeding.
Calls and messages may be recorded, transcribed, analysed, summarised, stored and reviewed for quote collection, consent, support, quality, safety, compliance, fraud prevention, dispute review and platform improvement.
8. Consent to collect, use and share information
By submitting information or continuing with a quote request, you consent to us collecting, storing, using and disclosing relevant information for platform operation, including job matching, supplier onboarding, quote collection, support, payment, compliance, analytics, moderation, safety and legal purposes.
This may include your name, business name, phone number, email, address or service location, job details, quote details, price, availability, call recordings, transcripts, messages, uploaded files, device/browser data, payment references, support history and consent records.
9. Privacy
We collect information directly from you, from calls and forms, from suppliers and customers, from payment and communication providers, and from public or business directory sources where relevant to supplier matching and onboarding.
We may share relevant customer request information with suppliers so they can assess and quote. We may share selected supplier information with customers so they can compare quotes and arrange work. We may also share information with service providers that support hosting, database, AI, analytics, communications, payments, fraud prevention and support.
We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no platform, network or storage method is completely secure. You should not submit unnecessary private, financial, identity, medical or other sensitive information unless it is directly relevant and requested.
10. Uploaded files and media
If you upload photos, videos, documents or other files, you confirm you have the right to provide them and that they may be used, stored, analysed and shared for quote collection, job assessment, supplier matching, support, safety, compliance and dispute review.
You must not upload unlawful, misleading, confidential, harmful, offensive, infringing or unrelated material.
11. Supplier quote requests and customer quote presentation
We may decide which suppliers to contact, when to contact them, how many suppliers to contact, whether to suppress contact, whether to moderate a quote, and how to present quote information to customers.
Quote ranking, presentation and selection support may consider fit, service area, responsiveness, availability, quality signals, customer requirements, commercial suitability, risk, moderation status and price. The cheapest quote may not be presented first or selected as the best option.
12. Customer Work Order Consent Terms
By confirming a supplier's quote, you consent to 1800 QUOTES issuing a work order to that supplier and sharing the job details and contact information reasonably needed for the supplier to contact you and arrange the work.
You understand that 1800 QUOTES helps collect your request, match you with suitable suppliers, request quotes, present supplier responses, and connect you with your selected supplier. 1800 QUOTES does not perform the work and is not a party to the service agreement between you and the supplier.
Once you confirm a supplier, the supplier is responsible for contacting you, confirming final job details, timing, scope, price, access requirements, payment arrangements, cancellations, refunds, workmanship, warranties and service issues.
The quote shown to you is based on the information available at the time. The final price, timing and scope may change if job details change, site conditions differ, risks emerge, access changes, or you agree to extra work with the supplier.
You should only confirm a supplier if you genuinely intend to proceed. If you change your mind after confirming, you must notify the supplier directly as soon as possible.
13. Supplier Work Order Consent Fee Terms
When a customer selects a supplier's quote and confirms they wish to proceed, 1800 QUOTES may issue a work order consent to that supplier. At that point, the supplier agrees to pay the applicable Work Order Consent Fee shown in the supplier dashboard or payment flow.
The Work Order Consent Fee is charged for platform services already provided by 1800 QUOTES, including lead intake, customer consent collection, supplier matching, quote request delivery, quote processing, quote presentation, customer confirmation and work order generation.
The fee becomes payable once the customer has confirmed the supplier and the work order consent has been issued, whether or not the supplier later completes the job, cancels the job, changes the quoted price, fails to contact the customer, is unable to perform the work, or has a dispute with the customer.
The fee is not refundable except where 1800 QUOTES determines, acting reasonably, that the customer confirmation was made in error, the work order was issued to the wrong supplier, the customer materially misrepresented the job, the lead was fraudulent, duplicate or invalid, or 1800 QUOTES failed to provide the connection or work order access due to a platform error.
Suppliers remain responsible for contacting the customer promptly, confirming job details, performing the work, and managing any change in scope, cancellation, refund, dispute, warranty, safety issue or service issue directly with the customer.
14. Payments, refunds and chargebacks
Supplier platform fees may be collected using third-party payment providers. Payment provider terms, fees, fraud rules and verification requirements may also apply.
A chargeback, payment failure or payment dispute does not automatically cancel a supplier's obligation to pay a valid platform fee. We may suspend access, withhold customer details, restrict future quote opportunities, or require manual review where payment is overdue, disputed, failed or suspected to be fraudulent.
15. Public liability and insurance
1800 QUOTES public liability cover is expected to commence on May 4, 2026. Any cover is subject to the policy wording, exclusions, limits, excesses, insurer decisions and the facts of the claim.
Platform public liability cover does not replace a supplier's own insurance and does not make 1800 QUOTES responsible for a supplier's work, vehicles, staff, contractors, tools, advice, omissions, negligence, safety systems, licences or statutory duties.
Suppliers should maintain their own public liability, workers compensation, vehicle, professional, product, tools, property, cyber and any other insurance required for their business and services. Customers should request evidence of insurance from a supplier where it matters to the job.
16. Acceptable use and safety
You must not use the platform for unlawful, unsafe, misleading, abusive, discriminatory, exploitative, spam, scraping, impersonation, privacy-invasive or fraudulent purposes.
We may refuse, suspend, moderate, suppress, remove, decline, block or report any request, supplier, quote, message, file, payment or account where we consider it necessary for safety, compliance, fraud prevention, platform integrity or legal reasons.
17. Consumer guarantees and non-excludable rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, statutory guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
Where we are allowed to limit our liability, our liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the relevant platform service again or paying the cost of having the relevant platform service supplied again.
18. Liability limits
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1800 QUOTES, Quotes AI and related parties are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, exemplary or economic loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of data, reputational damage, delay, failed quote, failed job, supplier conduct, customer conduct, workmanship, property damage, injury, non-payment, cancellation, dispute, quote error or any outcome connected with work arranged between a customer and supplier.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability connected with a platform service is limited to the amount paid to us for that platform service, or AUD 100 if no amount was paid to us for that service.
19. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify 1800 QUOTES and related parties against loss, cost, claim, damage, liability and expense arising from your breach of these terms, inaccurate information, unlawful conduct, misuse of the platform, supplier work, customer dispute, uploaded material, or infringement of another person's rights.
20. Complaints, disputes and support
If something goes wrong with platform operation, contact us through the Help & Support option on our website. If the issue relates to the actual work, price, timing, refund, warranty, damage or service quality, the customer and supplier should first try to resolve it directly.
We may review records, calls, messages, quotes, payments and account history to assist with platform support, but we are not required to mediate, decide, pay, refund, repair, complete or enforce any customer-supplier dispute.
21. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time by publishing the updated version on this page. The updated terms apply from the time they are published unless stated otherwise.
22. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and courts entitled to hear appeals from them.
